The mound is located on a separate hill on the right bank of the Kražantė river. The mound site is oval, elongated in the south-west-northeast direction, 65x45 m in size, with an uneven top, the middle and north-eastern part protrude within 2 m. rough and greased pottery was found in it. In the south-western, western and north-western edges of it, an embankment 120 m long, 2 m high and 17 m wide was poured. Slopes of medium steepness, southern – 7-8 m high and 20 m from the river valley.
It is believed that the mound stood from 1253. Kražiai land Kražiai castle, the castle site of which was mentioned in 1394.
