Kiaunoriai area in the 17th century was ruled by Gruzdžiai and Kiaunarskiai families. About 1786 the owner of Kiaunorai was Samogitian nobleman Juozas Jasevičius Kiaunarskis. It is believed that before the 19th century the manor passed to Ksaverijus Jonas Euzebijus Kiaunarskis. He in 1851built a new wooden palace. In 1861, in addition to the palace, there was a windmill, a distillery and a chapel in Kiaunoriai. The manor belonged to the Kiaunarskis family until World War II. In 1940 the manor was confiscated. After World War II, a school was established in the manor, and the premises were divided into smaller ones. Kiaunoriai Manor House is built on a hill with beautiful views of the surroundings. In the center of the main façade there are ornate double doors leading to the vehicle. The house is built on a high foundation of stone masonry (plastered in the main façade), the openings of the basement are made of red bricks. Many authentic details have been preserved in the house: windows, doors, wall decoration, cornices, chimney (collapsed), stoves, roof construction, etc. (some of them are forms typical of classicism).
