Forest Museum first opened its doors in 1962. The museum's early history is linked with the then forest director Enrikas Juzeliūnas, which had an ancient Lithuanian forest animal horns Tauro found in Dubysos slopes. It's been about 2,000 years ago the horns - extremely rare and interesting exhibit, and assessed by prof. Tadas Ivanauskas. Horns were donated Kaunas Zoological Museum, in return for the Tytuvėnai was sent to a group of professionals who have worked for about two months, preparing exhibits. The museum hosts - Tytuvėnai Regional park. Along with Tytuvėnai Regional Park Management Unit takes care of museum management and exhibition complemented with new exhibits.
